And Then You Had An Idea ..
When you awaken you realize this is all one giant dream in the mind of God. How f**king weird is that. Think about how good God’s skills have to be to trick itself into thinking it's a human. God has to be so good at the art of illusion that it can pull a fast one on God. How’s that for a strange-loop. Take a second and imagine being Pure Infinite Omniscient Potentiality sitting there in the Spaceless Void. You are just existing by yourself in eternity in a state of Pure Non-dual Radiant Bliss. It’s amazing. It’s serene. It’s giving ‘end credits after the movie is over’ vibes. But there’s something missing. Where’s the other? Where’s the contrast? At a certain point you start to get a little bored. At a certain point even Radiant Nondual Bliss starts craving a plot-twist. It’s great being in this state of primordial Oneness but nothing ever happens. There’s no storyline. No lore. No one to bounce ideas off of. No one to tell you that your bits aren’t landing today. So you get an idea. Because you’re God you have the power to imagine anything. What if you imagined you were this thing called a human and you had to live and survive in the world? And there were these other humans (that are also you) that you get to interact with and bond with and create with. As God, existing entirely by itself, there’s no one else around to tell you that this idea is amazing or terrible. So you go for it. F**k it. At least you’ll learn something. But then you realize: this will only work if you forget you are God. If you know you are God then the game won’t feel real. You have to fully believe you are walking around as an individual, separate human. You have to dupe yourself. Not in a mean, malicious way. In a ‘good movie sucks you in and makes you forget you’re watching a movie’ kind of way. When you think about it, it’s a pretty sophisticated illusion that’s required to trick the very one is creating the illusion in the first place. This is why it’s hard to wake up. But at a certain point the “human” going through life thinking it’s a “human” remembers the game that’s being played. And then it’s very obvious. And then you realize the truth was hidden so well because it was so obvious. Where’s the best place to hide the truth? Right in plain sight. Right there in the simplicity of your own consciousness. When it’s sitting right there in plain sight that’s where it’s the easiest to miss. Genius. Who created such a genius design? Oh that’s right…
If this whole scheme were getting a Rotten Tomatoes score it would be one of those films that gets a 94% critic score and a 43% audience score cause not everyone gets it right away. Did you set out to create a highly polarizing film that slowly becomes a cult classic over time? I don’t know. You were just chilling there as God and had an idea. And you went for it. And it sort of worked and sort of didn’t. What could be more perfect than that?
